About Nurse Jenna

I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2009 at the University of Hertfordshire. I began my career working in acute medicine, where I soon found myself in a busy London intensive care unit. I continue to this day working in acute medicine whilst my main focus lies in aesthetics. Aesthetics quickly became my primary passion after undertaking my training; in which I will continue to develop and grow my business. I am fully insured through Cosmetic Insure and a member of The British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN). I am also a fully registered member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Dermal Fillers

What is it?

As we age we lose our elasticity and volume of our skin, and subcutaneous fat pads (which gives us a youthful appearance) begins to reduce in size and move. Dermal Fillers are injected to replace this elasticity and volume loss, reducing lines and improving appearance.

What we use it for?

Dermal fillers will be used for lip augmentation, naso labial and marionette lines.

How long does it take?

You will be asked in for a consultation to discuss your needs, and then will arrange a day for treatment. An anaesthetic cream will be applied prior and the treatment itself can take between 30-60 minutes depending on the individual.

When will I see the effects?

The effects are instantaneous, keeping in mind there will be some swelling on the day.

We would expect the result to last between 6-12 months depending on the individual.

Are there any side effects?

As expected with any injection procedure, pain, burning, stinging, swelling, bruising may occur.

More uncommon side effects include lumps, product migration, infection, allergic reactions and occlusion. All of which will be discussed during consultation.

How long does it last?

We would expect the result to last between 6-18 months depending on the individual.

Is there any aftercare?

* Avoid make up for 12 hours

* Avoid extreme heat and freezing temperatures for 72 hours

* Avoid massaging the face

* Try to sleep with the head elevated and avoid sleeping on treated area for 48 hrs
